Capital Region Youth Council Is Now Accepting Nominations
The Capital Region Workforce Investment Board has opened its solicitation for Youth Council members. Nominations forms must be received by August 12, 2009. Information about the Youth Council and the nomination form is available here. Please call 804-226-1941 if you have any questions.
 

 

The Capital Region Workforce Partnership Consortium has released its meeting schedule and May 15, 2009 meeting agenda. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Capital Region Workforce Partnership at 804-226-1941.
 

  The City of Richmond and the Capital Area have merged to create the newly formed Capital Region Workforce Partnership. The new partnership became effective October 1, 2008. The Partnership has solicited nominations for new workforce investment board members and will make its appointment announcement in the near future. Check back for the board membership listing.
 
 
Partner with the Capital Region Workforce Partnership by becoming a SHARE NETWORK site. The Partnership is working diligently to expand access to workforce centers in various communities throughout the region. Access points will exist in libraries, churches, community based organizations, and other sites that can accommodate job seekers. The Capital Region is experiencing major instability in employment. The Capital Region Workforce Partnership has established a specialty center, The Employment Transition Center, to address the needs of the more than 10,000 dislocated workers from the companies shaded on the job loss report list. Click here to review job loss report. The Employment Transition Center is open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Center Staff can be reached at 804-273-6260.
